kris, November 23, 2001 at 10:16:55 PM CET gnutella sucks flpl is down. the unofficial mac client for audiogalaxy hasn't been working for some weeks, because they changed the protocol. i managed to locate one user with larry young's fuel 'turn off the lights' (was it you, tops?) but i received only 4%. last week i spent hours to get a decent version of 'unconditional' by jacksoul (it was worth the wait, though). is anyone seriously using gnutella? it appears to be closer to an arcade game than to file sharing. comment! lcbo, November 21, 2001 at 3:20:29 AM CET World domination.. one beer at a time Here is my contribution (There's a direct link at the top of this page where you won't need the password for the download)I'll try and put up a new compilation at least once a month and switch the genre as much as possible. This compilation is a mash of some funk and disco with a touch of 80's thrown in. I tried to pick some lesser heard tracks but had to throw in some popular classics as well. Thanks for the idea kris. comment! (6 comments) Tuesday, 20. November 2001
kris, November 20, 2001 at 9:58:44 PM CET towards world domination about two years ago i needed a birthday gift and i compiled the brazilophiles--a cd with the best 60's bossa nova, samba and latin jazz called tunes i had at that time. being lazy i kept the master cd and made many copies for all occasions. some cds made it to european capitals such as berlin, london, lisbon and vienna. now i'm trying to distribute it worldwide. (drop me an e if you want to swap or if you need hints for building your own copy.) comment! (3 comments) Monday, 19. November 2001

kris, November 18, 2001 at 2:51:21 PM CET Let's get our shit together I notice that I can add a menu to this site, which is invisible for non-members and searchengines. My first idea is that everybody of us has a secret mp3 pool which is linked in this hidden menu. When you write about a song you put the track in the pool for some days. If we had a central mp3 pool I could also add an upload form to this menu. What do you think? comment! (7 comments) Thursday, 8. November 2001
lcbo, November 8, 2001 at 8:01:00 PM CET Rare Music Radio is Back! My favourite streaming station so far is back on the air. The station shut down a month or two ago after the Grand Royal record label went under. Well, I hit the Rare Music radio bookmark by mistake today and it connected! The Grand Royal site doesn't have any info on the rare radio or the track listings that it used to but you can listen to the 96kbps stream here: Rare Music Radio 96kbps Stream comment! (10 comments) roland, November 8, 2001 at 3:37:33 PM CET mary roos - morgens um fuenf here a another little tip. maybe the best "easy listening" song in german language. Mary Roos: Morgens um fünf (Five O'clock in the Morning). Mary Roos is known as a typical Schlager-Singerin, but in her very early days she was a real good chansonette. The text is brilliant also. comment! (3 comments) Tuesday, 30. October 2001
boney, October 30, 2001 at 11:29:34 AM CET Manitoba 'Start Breaking My Heart' (Leaf) I was unaware of this group until I downloaded their excellent "Paul's Birthday". The blurb cites Boards of Canada, Eno, Aphex & Kraftwerk, but really it's far more jazz influenced than that would lead you to expect. Standout tracks include "People Eating Fruit", and the BoC influenced "Dundas, Ontario". It's impressively varied, with some hardcore noise in places, but overall an impressive slab of ambient/jazz/breaks malarkey. comment! (2 comments) ... Next page
