I put Saucisson de Cheval No.1 up today. Bobby Lapointe is, I think, the Benny Hill of France. For while Benny Hill did do a lot of running around after women in underwear on his telly programme, he also wrote some great songs with 'jeu de mots' and so on. I don't know about Bobby Lapointe but I do know that it is sad that Benny Hill died a broken man, dropped by Thames television unceremoniously for pollitical correctness, in spite of earning them more money in international exports than the rest of their programmes put together.

I think I heard Benny Hill was gay. But don't quote me on that. Not that I particularly care, but it just doesn't fit with his boob oggle kind of jokes.
