John Cale & Terry Riley: Church of Anthrax

church of anthrax Putting these names together you may expect arty-farty minimal music for string orchestra like Kronos Quartett or so.

And most of this album of 1970 is really boring bullshit, but the 9 minutes long title track gives you a T-bone steak on LSD.

Psycho, Rock, Psycho!

gotta look for that

i actually don't know anything about terry riley, but i found his name when i searched for information about the yamaha yc-45d combo organ. He used to have a modified version.

i bought an organ of that type two years ago, but i sold it to a local hip-hop group last month. it is an extremely cool instrument (can sound like a hammond, a combo rock organ, a horrible e-piano, a crap vibraphone or completely spacey), but i had no time to learn how to play (or fake) it.
